Super Hostel in Tamarindo!
Der Staff hilft einem immer weiter wenn man Fragen hat und alle sind so sympathisch, man fühlt sich einfach wohl. Die Gäste die da waren sind auch super kommunikativ und man kommt gut ins Gespräch. Besonders cool ist der Poolbereich, man trifft dort einfach auf andere Reisende. Die Dorms sind okay, recht lieblos eingerichtet, aber es erfüllt seinen Zweck. Es gibt eine Klimaanlage! Zu den Bädern muss ich sagen, dass diese eine Renovierung wirklich mehr als nötig haben, das geht teilweise wirklich nicht.
Zusammenfassend passt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und ich würde das Hostel definitiv empfehlen!

Great location! Surf lessons were amazing and everyone got up. Met some really fun people and a very active place. Would highly recommend. And the free breakfast included with the stay was delicious.

Only downside was the shower in the room was very low pressure and kind of pricey for a hostel.

Restaurant review: excellent staff and the best live entertainment with authentic Latino music. The staff also kept an eye on our things and tucked my GF’s purse away after it was on a chair. Fantastic place- I would recommend to anyone in Tamarindo looking to start somewhere fun and safe.

Really great place to stay in town. Right next to the cleanest grocery store in town, as well as the best areas for nightlife. 5-minute walk to the beach, which is fine if you're not planning to surf all day every day. Best part is all the kind people working there, and the really pleasant atmosphere. It's friendly and homey, but still clean and running in a professional way. Random observations:

- If you can spring for the rooms with private bath, they really are quite nice. Poolside, clean, with all the advantages of a hotel, plus the advantages of a hostel, at a fair price. Can't recommend them enough.
- Receptionists Shana (night) and Shanina (day) are incredibly sweet and helpful. At check-in/check-out time, there's sometimes a wait, but you can always get something from the bar in the meantime.
- Food & service at the restaurant/bar are great, and the included breakfast for private rooms is generous. Melly at the bar is probably the kindest person you'll meet in Tamarindo, which is really saying something.
- The surfing instructors, led by Monica from California, are a total joy. Great lessons, even if you suck at surfing like me. Fair warning, there's a 5-minute walk to/from the beach while carrying the boards, as opposed to being right on the beach or having boards stored on the beach.
- Nice craft beer, from Numu, is on draft. Often you'll find the owners of the place behind the bar serving drinks and giving advice.
- Great AC in every room I stayed in.
- Tons of common space, you can always find a place to sit either among others or by yourself.
- The shared hostel bathroom, at least the men's, was the only weak point. A little raggedy, soap/paper towels were only present about half the time, and the showers only ever had cold water. Cold water is fine in the hot weather honestly, but I also stayed with a private bathroom and it had consistent hot water. Not a big deal, but just a heads up.

Overall, really glad this is where I stayed in Tamarindo. You can get a place that's more secluded at a smaller beach, but if you're looking to meet other people and enjoy the town of Tamarindo along with the beach, this really is the best place to be.

Lovely place with great location. Rooms were with AC. Bathrooms where cleans. Staff were super friendly. Restaurant with the best coffee. 100% Recommended.

Lo que quiero recomendar es el restaurant es el servicio que utilize para almuerzo y tambien en cena mi hijo ama las papas fritas y mi hija la hamburguesa tamarindo, la atencion amable.

We enjoyed 2 nights here after flying into CR. Overall, it was a good hostel. You have to bear in mind, you're staying at a hostel.

There is a kitchen the guests can use - awesome. The bathrooms were clean.

I booked a private room. The AC was wonderful.:) The beds left a lot to be desired but again.it's a hostel. The hostel is in the middle of the city and there was a fair bit of noise at night.

We did meet some really fun people in the common room so if you're looking for community - this hostel provided it.

Stayed in the private room. TV, AC and shower all worked without fault. Was very clean. Friendly staff. We had breakfast included and they had a wide variety of options to choose from. The hotel bar was very lively at night with live bands. Very good experience

Never going there again. Got home feom the beach late and a drunk girl had taken my bunk and threw all my things on the floor. The security guard just told me to deal with it and take another bunk that was already used and wet. Worst hostel I’ve ever been to.

We had a private room which was good. Shower facilities could be better. It’s a good place for the price. The little pool area out back is nice.

Chef, the Poppers! You don’t know to boil the jalapeño first? You bite and the entire thing slides out. Red sauce is like raw tomato, no flavor. Otherwise, good margarita mix. Nice people.

I had a nice stay in La Oveja. It can sometimes be a bit noisy by night, but overall a good experience.

There is a large kitchen to cook your own meals, but no salt/pepper/oil are unfortunately provided.
Would be a great improvement to bring some, if the owners read my comment!:)

Well-maintained and organized place, in a great location. The room was air-conditioned, showers were clean and the kitchen well-stocked. The staff were very helpful in helping me figure out how to get to the next destination. Very much appreciated!

Absolutely filthy.one one set of toilet/ shower facilities for the whole hosel which look like they havnt been cleaned. Saw cleaners ‘changing’ beds, didn’t even change covers. Receptionist unfriendly, unhelpful, didn’t know what beds were allocated to us, when asked for help with local busses and transport she just said ‘we wouldn’t get any’, kids running around screaming and fighting into the early hours. £33 a night for a 10 person dorm in these conditions is a joke.

Booked last minute for 5 nights at this hostel and was the best experience! Very clean, friendly staff, lively night life in the cafe with live music every night! Security was on point also, ensuring safety and comfort of all the guests. Great location also, with easy access to literally everything! Highly recommend! Thanks, Wences, hasta luego!

El servicio de restaurante es pésimo, la espera para ser atendido es demasiado larga, los meseros son poco atentos. Me ha pasado lo mismo en 2 ocasiones

We payed for a room with air conditioning, it did not work and the room was hot. The room was not clean and smelled bad. We tried canceling the following night and didn't get all of our money back because we payed by card. The manager was very rude and unhelpful and did not even apologize for their issues.

Loved it! We stayed in a big spacey private room where you had 2 double beds and 1 tv. The room kept silent enough to sleep in despite of outdoors activities. It also has a private bathroom & communal kitchen outside. Lovely managers, great price for what you get.
