The owners of Banana Surf are really nice people. We had private surf lessons here for a great price and the instructor was very knowledgable. We had a great time! Highly recommend!

Be careful if you rent a board that the guy checking the board out to you marks down all blemishes so they don’t charge you. Check for cracks in the fins

Great lessons for pretty good prices. Our instructor Kurt did a great job at teaching us how to surf. We did a private lesson for 55/each including equipment. This was slightly less than most places we looked at. However there was no option for pictures. We booked the morning of with no problem.

Super highly recommend this place to anyone who I love and trust with my life. My 14 year old daughter was up & surfing for two hours after a 30 minute lesson. The instructor was kind, patient and my daughter loved him. Unfortunately she now wants to surf although we have other activities planned here in Costa Rica. Without saying, I’ve gotta to come back to Tamarindo so she can surf her in Costa Rica again. Book this place

Great place to rent boards from.they have a really good selection.between $10-$15 per day.rented straps for our car for a couple $ per day.if the waves get bigger you can come exchange your longboard for another shortboard.

Nice selection of surfboards to rent that are in decent condition. Right on the beach which makes it very convenient, and have storage lockers if you need one.

The staff are very helpful and friendly and this place has the best prices in Tamarindo for surfboard rentals if you're not satisfied with the board you can swap it for another one for no cost they also provide free lockers to keep your stuff safe while you are on the beach enjoy paradise! Had a great time learning how to surf. Class was only 2 of us which made it easy for us to ask questions. The instructor was super cool and came out with us to set us up on the best waves, he would tell us exactly when to start paddling and how hard to go, toward the end we were getting tired so he’d give us an extra push. Great time, I will use them next time I’m in Tamarindo.

Had a very good 2hr group surfing session here. Very friendly and knowledgeable instructor and kind staff. Can't speak to their board rental service as I only did the surf lesson, which I can recommend.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE! These guys ripped me off. They claimed I damaged their board, when clearly the board had been damaged and poorly repaired prior to me renting the board.
