Restaurante Sobre Las Olas

Este restaurante se ubica en un fantástico emplazamiento frente a la playa, lo que hace que sea agradable a cualquier hora. Acudimos dos noches a cenar ya que habíamos estado muy a gusto el primer día que fuimos.
El menú es muy amplio y variado, por lo que será difícil no encontrar alguna opción que encaje con cualquier gusto, aunque en general tienen muchas opciones asiáticas.
Recomendables las fajitas en salsa coreana picante, si te gusta el picante porque son algo intensas de sabor, y también las de salsa teriyaki.
Los rolls de sushi son bastante grandes.
El servicio es un poco lento aunque todo el personal es bastante amable. Nosotros fuimos cuando ya había anochecido, pero nos comentaron que era un lugar muy recomendable para ver las puestas de sol.

Nada más entrar pido el wifi y me dicen que es para sus computadoras (en restaurante caro) eso es denunciable, pido un plato… no hay, pregunto por el vino, pido una copa 3500 colones, vino malísimo y menos de 125cc. Seis mejillones grandes, bastos para comer, 7500 colones (más de 10€) lomito a la parrilla…? Ni a la plancha! Blandurrio, sin tostar por los lados (medio cocido) 7800 colones, cuatro cervezas a 1500, un café negro 800, una orden de pan de pita que era una torta de harina y agua, Bueno total 32.230 colones más de 45€, para no volver nunca más.

El tiempo de espera es demasiado, no estaban disponibles más de la mitad de los platillos del menú, la cantidad era muy poca comparada con el precio del platillo, pedi una cosa y me llevaron otra

1. Totally overpriced, you can get better food for 50% off a few meters away
2. Tax and Service fee is not mentioned in the Menu and so it is misleading the guests
3. Outside is a constant whistle of a compressor which makes it a pain to sit there
4. Staff is lying to the guests (they asked for an atm and they said there is none - there are two atms in Cahuita)
5. Food was good, snapper came without sidedish while other food was with sidedish - no mention of this in the menu
6. Bathrooms are dirty - and I am used to travel abroad since 6 years and dont expect European standards

Overall we just came here because it was raining and we cannot go to the place we wanted to go Initially.

I really recommened to AVOID this place whenever possible.

Staff was friendly at least, therefore I give one star.

If you rather look for drinks, this is a very good option. There is a wifi connection but the password is not available to customers.

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, with a table right by the water. The food had good ingredients, but the preparation was not very interesting. The service was particularly inattentive, enough so that I didn't enjoy the experience and wouldn't go back.

This hidden gem in Cahuita.is a awesome little restaurant. Amazing sushi and steaks, an assortment of beers and cocktails. Friendly service and a ocean view. A good place to get your belly full and your Pura Vida in motion.

Very nice table in Cahuita, sea front. Great sushis. Try the Cahuita roll it is awesome.

Had a wonderful dinner at the edge of the sea.we had 3 different rolls, we both really really liked the Cahuita roll.our server was super nice welcomed us as we entered.
I've seen some reviews about 10% service and 13% tax.this is clearly stated on the menu, and is also the norm for Costa Rica.we had such good food and great time, we must go again while we are here.

Demasiado caro para comida mediocre. Servicio súper lento, esperamos alrededor de una hora, hora y quince por la comida. Lo único bueno fue la vista y las gyozas.

Preise sind ebenfalls in Ordnung und es ist an einem sehr schönen Ort.

Tenu par des jeunes qui ne déméritent pas.
Nourriture saine et fraîche avec des condiments ou sauces sans exagération pour laisser le produit principal en valeur, le tout avec beaucoup de goût et de saveurs. Petite carte des vins, mais un Sauvignon chilien bien sympa pour accompagner notre ceviche presque carpaccio à l'italienne où le proprio, fils d'italien puise ses idées. Un filet de poisson cuit comme il se doit, sans oublier un cocktail genre punch aux fruits frais locaux. Merci et surtout ne le manquez pas à Cahuita, parole de professionnel

Very nice view on the sea. We had a good sushi but the service was not welcoming, very slow and we waited like 20 min for mojito. Also the prices in the menu are without tax so be prepared to pay not only +10% bad service but also +13% tax, rediculous!

This place is AMAZING! My husband and I really didn’t want to go anywhere else because it was soo good and we didn’t think it could get better and we were right! We stayed in Cahuita and ate here and then in Puerto Viejo. While we were there we tried several places but nothing tops Las Olas and the price is great! It’s a must try! Great Service.

Incredible food! Beyond expectation. Gabriel was a wonderful host. Besides serving delicious food he shared so much about his beautiful town of Cahuita and Costa Rica. Best food this side of Costa Rica. We will return. Award winning Ceviche.

Sehr leckeres Essen mit Blick aufs Meer. Die Preise sind sehr überhöht. Einmal aber des Preises halber nicht öfters.

Great for seafood, and right next to the beach. Eat outdoors if it's not raining. Lighting fast service, but pricey by Costa Rica standards. Large portions, though, well cooked.

Very nice seaside restaurant with fresh seafood and great service. One of the best meals of our trip.
