La ubicación era increíble, con olas perfectas para principiantes. El personal era amable y apasionado por el surf. La pasé muy bien y recomiendo encarecidamente estas lecciones de surf a cualquiera que esté cerca de Tamarindo.

Did a group lesson and private lesson with them.
The group lesson was great! They organize themselves to have one teacher per 4 people. Everyone on my beginner group lesson got up in the first class. It was very satisfying. They base the lesson on when the tide is at its best so you can learn in good conditions. I enjoyed the lesson so much that I booked a private lesson with Kevin who was one of the group instructors. He was an excellent instructor, very attentive to helping me with technique and watched my every surf to help me improve and get better. If my trip wasn’t so short I would have continued the classes with Kevin everyday. I highly recommend this surf camp! They are also very affordable compared to many of the other surf camps in Tamarindo. No brainer to go with Surf Spirit!

Surf Spirit is one the best things that ever happened to me.
First of all, the hostel is really nice itself, there are a lot of common areas, huge tables, hammocks and sofas, where everyone can meet each other and hang together. The atmosphere is very friendly, the staff is the nicest possible and everyone is very chill.

Marcos and guys put their hearts and souls to not just create a community, but FAMILY.
It’s a huge pleasure to see people not just doing their jobs, but being passionate about it.
I was extremely impressed by the fact that Marcos takes care personally about each member, he knows when you’re coming and he’s there to meet you. Every teacher knows your name from your first day.
The program is very well organised, by the end of the first lesson everyone could stand up. Instructors are amazingly supportive on every step of your surf journey, those are the people that more happy than you are when you’re doing great. They will follow you till you finish your wave and they will celebrate it with you and give you helpful tips. They will make sure that you’re a part of the group, they will play with you and have fun with you. Even if it’s solo trip you will never feel lonely, come and experience amazing Costa Rica, meet incredible people and make unforgettable memories.

I booked the 6 day surf camp with Marcos (through Botella de Leche hostel, which is amazing!) and i had the best time! Everyone was so nice and welcoming. The surf spirit staff were all so Great and definitely knew what they where doing. Geranimo is an amazing surf instructor. He is very kind and has a lot of patience. Keeps on giving tips to improve your stance and helps to catch the waves. But also just very fun and relaxed vibes. I learned a lot during the lessons but most of all I had a lot of fun. I would defenitly recomend and go again, i made great memorys

We had an amazing first surfing experience with gastón.he was very professional and made the lesson enjoyable for everyone even though our group had varying levels of experience.the price was very reasonable and our surf lesson with spirit surf was definitely a highlight of our stay in tamarindo.

I would ever do it again! Was the best decision to book this surf camp! The surf teachers are very lovely, I felt directly part of a family.
They always motivate you and explain everything really well so you will have a quick success! I will learn in a lovely, funny and also successful way how to surf:)
Apart from the surf lessons they are always there for you, doesn’t matter what problem you have, they will help you!

Marcos was AMAZING! He is the best teacher.
I’ve never surfed before so I was a bit nervous, but he made me feel so safe and WOW I couldn’t believe I could do it. He made everything really simple and easy to understand, and SO fun

I really liked the surfing classes with Surf Spirit Tamarindo! In one week I learned a lot and had so much fun. Marcos and Hero are great teachers who know how to combine teaching the technique and rules and having a good time while surfing. With them you really feel the surf spirit! I can only recommend taking surf lessons with them!

We had an awesome time here. Jero was an awesome dive instructor and was so knowledgeable and kind. Would absolutely go back.

Just some tips:
- you meet them in the hotel de leche
- you can leave things at front desk as they will otherwise be unattended at the beach
- you will be walking to the beach carrying surfboards (maybe a 10 min walk) so make sure you are able to do this
- expect a great time!

Jeronimo y Martin sont de super instructeurs. C'était ma première classe de surf et c'était super. J'ai réussi à me lever tout de suite grâce à leurs précieux conseils. Ils sont très à l'écoute, super sympas et rassurants. Je vous recommande absolument cette adresse.

5 stars to Marcos and his team at Surf Spirit Tamarindo. What an excellent experience! I am new to surfing and the instructors made me feel very comfortable and safe in the water. The lesson included a safety briefing, instructions out of the water and hands on instruction, guidance and information in the water. I’m so glad I tried it!

Started as a surf instructor but Marcus and his co instructors became friends.
The surfing was very professional and the time spent in the water was also fun thanks to them.
