¡Jafet fue un instructor fantástico! ¡Mi esposa y yo nos divertimos mucho! Esta es una visita obligada.

Ya había tomado una lección para principiantes la semana anterior en Santa Teresa pero mientras surfeaba vi a Javier dar una lección a mi lado, me gustó el ambiente y cómo explicaba las cosas. Tomé una lección intermedia con él y al poco tiempo pude montar la ola y no solo la espuma.
Muy buen chico y gran instructor.

La universidad y yo cumpliendo 60 años en menos de 60 días. Así viviendo la aventura de su vida. ¡¡Lo hicimos! ¡¡Qué gran momento y base para muchos años de surf por delante! Vivir la vida, como si cada día fuera el último. ¡¡Pura vida!

No podría hablar mejor de este grupo. Slathan, mi instructor, estaba al tanto. Fue paciente y comprensivo dando buenas críticas en cada intento/surf. Después de 3 o 4 olas sentí que tenía una comprensión sólida de lo que se necesitaba y que en realidad estaba surfeando olas. ¡PURA VIDA!

¡La escuela de surf fue la mejor parte de nuestro viaje a Costa Rica (e hicimos mucho)! Fue fantástico trabajar con Pablo y Javier y Javier nos tenía (dos mujeres de mediana edad) en nuestras tablas en olas en nuestro primer intento. Las olas en la playa de Samara eran perfectas para nuestro nivel de habilidad. Además, ofrecieron fotografías y las fotografías fueron fabulosas. Nos gustó tanto que también reservamos lecciones para el día siguiente y pasamos un día aún mejor en el agua. Apreciamos mucho a todo el amable personal, lo agradables que hacen las experiencias y la fabulosa instrucción (Javier) para que pases un momento seguro pero divertido y productivo. Incluso nos ayudaron a coordinar los mejores precios y transporte. Más allá de un servicio al cliente excepcional. Sin duda volveremos el año que viene.

Quería probar a surfear pero estaba muy nervioso y temeroso de intentarlo. Todos esos nervios se fueron en Ticos Surf School. Era el lugar perfecto para aprender y Javier fue un gran instructor. Tenía mucho conocimiento, era atento y brindó excelentes comentarios e instrucción personal dentro de una lección grupal. Terminé divirtiéndome mucho y sintiendo que mi primera vez surfeando fue un éxito y definitivamente le atribuyo esta experiencia tan positiva a Javier y al equipo de Ticos Surf School. ¡Definitivamente lo recomiendo! ¡También toman fotos realmente geniales de alta calidad si quieres un bonito recuerdo después!

Recomiendo encarecidamente venir a esta escuela de surf si estás en Samara. Tuve un instructor increíble y alentador, que antepuso mi seguridad y mi técnica adecuada.

Las fotos que tomó el propietario después de la clase fueron increíbles y nunca olvidaré esta experiencia. 10/10!

Emerson fue un gran instructor. Tenía a mis adolescentes surfeando en la hora. Pablo tomó fotos fantásticas. Se dieron cuenta de sus fortalezas y debilidades atléticas individuales y luego trabajaron con ellos para aprovechar al máximo sus lecciones

Thank you Ticos surf school, I am so grateful for the wonderful experience I had with you. After taking lessons with Diego, and Javier for five weeks, I can confidently say that my surfing skills have improved significantly. I am now able to catch waves more easily and feel much more confident in the water.

Pablo, the owner of the surf school, was fantastic. He was always friendly and welcoming, and he made me feel like part of the family from the very beginning. He was also very knowledgeable about surfing and was able to provide me with valuable feedback and advice throughout my lessons.

Diego and Javier were my coaches, and they were both amazing. They were patient, kind, and encouraging, and they pushed me to do my best every time. They were also very skilled surfers themselves and were able to demonstrate techniques and tricks for me to learn from.

One thing that I really appreciated about this surf school was that they took pictures and videos of me surfing, which was incredibly helpful. I was able to see where I needed to improve and work on specific skills during my lessons.

Overall, I would highly recommend this surf school to anyone looking to improve their surfing skills, or to have beginner lessons. Not only will you receive top-notch instruction from skilled coaches, but you will also be treated like family. Thank you so much, Pablo, Diego, Javier and family for an incredible experience! I will be back to see you!

Seriously amazing staff. My 8yo was scared of the ocean (she's a good swimmer just worried about jellyfish, sharks, fish.) But really wanted to learn. Javier was so patient and had her confidently surfing the first day and turning the next day. She LOVED it. Salthan had my 3yo surfing within a few minutes as well. I thought I would be an anxious mess having my toddler in the ocean but about half way though the lesson I was totally relaxed and could watch my older kid too. He was obviously very comfortable teaching young kids, attentive and caring. We were recommended another surf school for kids but I'm glad we ended up at Ticos because it couldn't have been a better experience for my kids first time surfing. If your kids have any interest in learning to surf come to Samara and do some lessons at Ticos! ‍️

Highly recommend! With the more upgraded package, you get the photos and a second day (2-3 hr rental) of surf boards. Slathan was an energetic, attentive, and encouraging teacher!

En plus une fois la lesson terminée, vous pouvez pratiquer gratuitement pendant 3h. Après cela la location de la planche vous coûtera uniquement 5 dollars par heure.

This place was the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica! Manna was our instructor, and she was very informative and patient with us. They spent a lot of time on the beach showing us technique before we took it to the water. Then, she stayed with us the whole time while we hit the waves. Finally nailed a few. I’m so proud of myself for indulging in this experience! The money was worth the instructors time AND we got sweet photos AirDropped to us right after. Great family owned business!

My sister and I did the semi private lessons at Ticos surf school and the lessons were fantastic. We had Manna as out instructor. She did a great job of going over all the basics onshore before we went out to catch some waves. Manna worked with each of us individually and provided very clear and helpful tips and feedback. We both ended up catching several waves and had a great time! An hour and a half was plenty of time to wear us out. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend it!

Expérience au top! Javier a été notre professeur, il a une très bonne expérience et il sait comment bien faire progresser les élèves. Nous avons commencé par le cours débutant, avec lequel on peut revenir emprunter une planche pour s'entraîner, ce qui est génial. Puis les jours suivants, nous avons repris un cours niveau "intermédiaire" avec Javier. Comme il nous avait déjà suivi et connaissait notre niveau, il a pu bien nous faire progresser! Encore merci beaucoup à lui et à toute l'équipe!
Petit plus, on reçoit aussi des très belles photos prises pendant la séance!

It was my fist time surfing but my boyfriend is more experienced. Joel did a great job helping both of us at our level. We went back the next day to practice and they were very kind & accommodating again.

Wow! Wow! Woww! What a wonderful experience we had at Ticos surf school. Although we have snowboarded many mountains in the Rockies we had never surfed before. Pablo (owner) and his staff (his family) treated us like family and taught us how to surf for the very first time! The instructors were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. If you are in the Samara area and want to learn how to surf, or even if you already know how to, we can't recommend Pablo and his team high enough! Although I'm not smiling in this photo, because I'm focused on their teachings, I was smiling inside! Thank you Pablo! We can't wait to come back again and surf!)

As a complete surfing novice I had a whale of a time on my private beginners’ lesson with Javier. He was very patient and encouraging and spent the time to teach me the basics on land before we took to the sea. I definitely made real progress in our 1.5hr lesson and would recommend Ticos Surf School to anyone visiting Samara of any surfing ability.

We had a very good surf lesson with Pablo. He took the time to observe our skill level first and built his advice based on that. We really improved a lot during the short 1,5h lesson. We also rented two boards for two hours the days after that during our stay in Samara, 5$ per hour. If I come back to Samara I surely will take further lessons there! Had a blast!

Our surf lesson with Paolo was fantastic! He’s an excellent teacher and very knowledgeable. He had us standing up and catching our own waves within one lesson. Also, they have soft boards for beginners, which made us feel safe. Kris takes incredible photos and is an expert editor to make the beach look empty.
