Olas Verdes Hotel

Gran hotel, el nivel de servicio es increíble, el personal es súper agradable, el restaurante es muy bueno y hay una escuela de surf integrada al hotel que es súper práctica. Creo que este es el mejor hotel de Nosara, ¡lo recomiendo!

¡Tuvimos un almuerzo increíble en este restaurante hoy! ¡Cada plato es una verdadera obra de arte! El personal del restaurante es muy atento y super amable! Y fue el mejor ceviche de pescado que hemos probado mientras vivíamos en Costa Rica y un guacamole muy, muy delicioso. ¡Muy recomendable! ¡El menú infantil ofrece una variedad de opciones y es realmente saludable! ¡La experiencia en general fue maravillosa y tenemos muchas ganas de volver!

¡El Hotel Olas Verdes es increíble! Es un hermoso hotel boutique con excelentes comodidades y una ubicación fantástica. Cada persona del personal fue amable y brindó un excelente servicio de manera constante. Hay mucho que amar del Hotel Olas Verdes, como la proximidad a la playa, convenientes alquileres de surf, terraza para yoga y el restaurante El Manglar. Si bien viajábamos en pareja, parecía un gran lugar para parejas, familias y viajeros solitarios.

Me alojé aquí la semana pasada y pasé 5 noches. Tuvimos un problema con la construcción que se estaba realizando fuera de nuestra habitación y el personal nos ofreció rápidamente un lugar diferente. El personal es amable, el servicio de lavado gratuito es una ventaja, la playa está a cinco minutos a pie y es hermosa.

Nosotros (una familia de 5) nos alojamos aquí por 3 noches y ¡ojalá nos hubiéramos quedado más tiempo! ¡El mejor lugar en el que nos hemos alojado en Costa Rica hasta ahora! Increíble ubicación muy cerca de la playa, paseo corto con tablas de surf y escuela de surf en el lugar
Las habitaciones eran de gran tamaño y estaban bien equipadas, las botellas de agua a la llegada fueron un toque realmente agradable. Todo el personal super amable y especialmente los de la recepción, serviciales con todo, nada demasiado problemático.
¡Lavandería gratis excelente, especialmente después de 2 semanas de viaje!
El sitio web no le hace justicia a este lugar, ¡ve y compruébalo antes de que los demás se enteren!

Olas Verdes is a beautiful place, it is well designed and the location is great.
I think the strength of this place are the people- all employees were nice and wanted to help and make your stay great.

So why not 5 stars?
1. I think this place is a bit pricey
2. We stayed in the poolside room on the second floor, and you can hear everything that is going on.
3. The main issue- ongoing maintenance. The room is big and well designed, and it is a shame that so many things aren't working: the safe didn't work, the windows didn't close all the way, it took ~10 mins to get hot water in the shower and the pressure was really bad.

I think that if the hotel will put effort in ongoing maintenance, it will be the perfect place.

We had a wonderful time at Olas Verdes! My mom and me stayed 1 week in the beautiful suite. The hotel is very close to the beach, a great option for surfers, and directly in the nature. We could see black monkeys on the trees directly from the window. I also have seen big and small lizards many times. Our visit was in the rain season, so everything was very green and fresh. Olas Verdes is a ecological hotel, they produce there own electricity, save water and care about the environment. Guests even get re-fillable water bottles with the hotel-design to take home, so as to reduce the plastic waste! There are bicycles at the hotel free of charge for guests to use, which is very convenient and nice, if you want to visit Nosara town or take a ride in the area. Also, something I see rarely any hotel do, every day guests have the possibility to get there clothes cleaned in the laundry and receive the cleaned and dried clothing in the room. Every thing is thought of!
We also enjoyed the swimming pool, its nice to cool down after a warm day. The food was delicious, I think we tried nearly everything on the breakfast card! Lots of vegan and vegetarian options as well as non-vegetarian. The food is served in the restaurant on the hotel territory. The staff is very friendly and fun. I am very grateful for being able to stay at Olas Verdes and hope to come again someday! Thank you!

Perfect spot for a family eco-adventure. Located on the reserve in the closest spot to the beach. Tons of activities to choose from for everyone. The staff treats you like family. And on top of all that, the chef is world class with a french cuisine inspired tropical fusion menu and a desire to satisfy your cravings. My son and I both have food allergies and he went out of his way to make our food delicious. Highly recommend.

Update.the new Chef Geraldo is doing great things there. We loved all his dishes. I understand about the no AC now. Olas is a very friendly family place and I will be back to visit!

For a person that travels a lot, this was 5 star service. The food is by far the best in the area and the staff are all beyond friendly. The rooms are large and quiet. You are about 10 minutes from town and 15-20 from downtown walking. Beach is a 3-4 minute walk. If you are looking for a great place, choose here.

Can't even begin to say how much we enjoyed our time here. Having your laundry done for you and clean clothes in the morning was a game changer! Breakfast that was included was amazing! Drinks were spot on! The pool is fantastic and just what you need after a long morning surfing and the trees and plants provided lots of needed shade!
The concierge was awesome and gave great recommendations for dinner each night.
Diego is my new bestie! He helped us so much with directions, calls for the golf carts, even helped look for our friends phone that jumped out of the golf cart of the bumpy road. There is no better customer service!

Excellent staff, service, restaurant, room, I've been here in the area every year for 4 years and highly recommend staying here.

From the time I contacted the hotel to inquire about reservations, they got back to me right away. Communication was terrific. The place was very clean and all the staff super friendly and helpful. I felt like I was the only person staying there they were that attentive. The food is delicious as well.

El hotel es un paraíso dentro del mismo paraiso tico, a 200mt de la playa, la atención del personal espectacular.
La comida es riquísima y bien servida, las habitaciones muy cómodas.
Recomendable para grupos chicos y parejas.

Our family was blown away by the incredible staff and service at Olas Verdes. Their kind and friendly staff truly made our stay there a memorable experience. The hotel is clean and beautiful, surf lesson was awesome, the ATV tour guides they arranged were a blast, the food and restaurant/bar staff was amazing, and they helped make everything from laundry service to COVID testing a smooth and easy process. We can’t wait to visit again!

Olas Verdes is an incredible place to stay in Playa Guiones. I wouldn't stay anywhere else! First, the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. They were always willing to lend a hand to make our stay as amazing as it could be and help us with transportation and tour reservations. Thanks to Paulina's recommendation, we went to Ostional and saw the "arribada" of the turtles to the beach to lay their eggs. It was a memory my partner and I will never forget!

A few details-the walk to the beach is so fun and very short! It is so convenient to walk straight to the beach which is unique to Olas Verdes. Many hotels don't have this and it was so nice.

The restaurant on site, El Manglar is delicious and the breakfast was the best. A fantastic way to start the day.

The rooms were always so clean. Daily laundry is included which is also helpful, especially after beach days.

LGBTQ+ friendly. My partner and I felt welcome and totally comfortable here!

In these times, I commend all staff and guests at Olas Verdes for being COVID safe! They have great and fair protocols for keeping everyone safe.

Clean, well run, great staff, great food and drinks. Surf board rentals. Yoga space. Reliable AC! Modern and energy efficient. Great pool too! They arranged shuttles and Covid tests for us. Highly recommended! Walk to the beach!

Our family of 4 loved our stay at Olas Verdes. Very eco-friendly, spacious accommodations, a surf school on site, free bikes, awesome food, a lovely pool, and very friendly staff. The manager is super hands-on and even helped with our luggage. Nosara also provides a different experience with its dirt roads and tuk tuks. Definitely check it out. I can't wait to include Olas Verdes and Nosara into my clients' itineraries at TropiQ Trips. Highly recommended.
