Ocho beach bar

Este restaurante es un lugar agradable solo para tomar una copa, ya que no tenían casi nada disponible en el menú. No hay pan para las hamburguesas, ni camarones gigantes, ni arroz ni costillas. ¡Básicamente no mucho!

Tuvimos una experiencia terrible con nuestra factura. Se suponía que la factura se dividiría entre 2 parejas y nos cobraron el precio completo a cada uno y no lo corrigieron después de muchos meses de intentarlo. Muy decepcionado

Ambiente fantástico, comida aún mejor, la música y el paisaje son Pura vida! ¡Debes probarlo si estás en la zona! ¡Gente hermosa con calidez en el corazón!

La comida y las bebidas aquí son normales. Hay mejores lugares para comer en Tamarindo. El tartar de atún está buenísimo y el pargo rojo impresionante. Pedí langosta y estaba cubierta con queso barato. No sé quién come langosta de esa manera, pero yo no y tuve que quitarle el queso para comer mi langosta.

Recomiendo encarecidamente Ocho's. ¡Miguel y su personal son muy acogedores y nos encantó el ambiente! Y la comida! Tan fresco y hecho a pedido. Las alitas de pollo son caseras y tanto adultos como niños nos encantan, la ensalada de atún estaba deliciosa y perfectamente preparada y las bebidas fluían (¡especialmente en la hora feliz! 2 por 1, jaja). Miguel es sin duda el hombre más amable y amigable que conocimos; Fue un placer comer y pasar el rato en Ocho's varias veces mientras estábamos en Tamarindo.

Cool bar with swings on the beach. We came for the ambience and just ended up getting some drinks. The staff at the time wasn't very friendly but they were also very busy so maybe they were stressed a little. Either way, it's a cool spot for drinks on the beach if you like places with photo ops.

Bonito bar con columpios en la playa. Vinimos por el ambiente y acabamos tomando unas copas. El personal en ese momento no era muy amable, pero también estaban muy ocupados, así que tal vez estaban un poco estresados. En cualquier caso, es un sitio guay para tomar algo en la playa si te gustan los sitios con fotos.

Amazing ambiance, different experience, right on the beach in the middle of happening. Everything around you. Restaurant manager is super nice. Owner was there every day, cool guy, bought us their specialty shot.

Beware of the cocktail prices! We were taken advantage of.
Ocho charged us $95 USD for 2 mezcal margaritas. When we brought up our concern to the manager, he became enraged and threatened to call the police if we didn’t pay. He wouldn’t speak to us, told us to work it out with his employees. It was such a shame to end our night with this terrible experience because everything else was great. The food was pretty good, ambiance and music was fun, staff very friendly. But how the hell can you charge $48 for a cocktail? That’s just ridiculous. Tamarindo turned out to be the most expensive place we’ve ever visited in the world. Such a shame for Costa Rica.

I come to Tamarindo every year and make sure to return to Ocho every time. Ive brought Snook, Mahi-Mahi, Yellowfin Tuna, and Miguel always makes sure its a delicious meal. This year me and my girlfriend went for her birthday and had a delicious tuna carpaccio and sashimi, and grilled Mahi Mahi. Ocho is definitely the most luxurious restaurant and hotel in town and if you're looking for a special experience I couldn't recommend it strongly enough. Some people complain about the price, but I have a feeling they were a little too drunk and had eyes bigger then their pockets as I have always found the prices to be transparent and reasonable for the high quality of food and service provided.

Really incredible location right on the beach, went here several times for drinks and food. Food was alright, drinks were also alright. Averagely priced menu for a beach club, they have a nice 2x1 special. The service wasn't bad, but the management was really rude on one occasion - probably wouldn't return because of that.

Miquel overcharges United States visitors. Don’t be fooled by dropping off your fresh catch from fishing for them to prepare. Rips visitors off. When you receive the bill and when patrons questions the bill he says it is what it is. Be careful and go to another restaurant which are plentiful in the area. No wonder no one was at the restaurant when all other restaurants were full. After this experience know why the restaurant had no customers. He hires a body guard to walk around his restaurant and realize why now. Stay clear of this place. Plenty of other appreciative good restaurants in Tamarindo to eat and drink and watch the sunsets.

Not impressed, it seems that thw only ones getting good service were the foreigners. Not great service for Ticos. Took forever to get our orders and staff not as friendly as many other places around.

One of the nicer beach bars and slightly further away than the hustle and bustle of the main strip. We had a plate of nachos and some drinks to break up the day. Great service and ambience, with a DJ playing relaxed house whilst you watch the world go by.

Great location, good drinks, mediocre food, friendly service. The location is great for watching the sunset with a nice daiquiri but it is a little loud and a lot of folks hanging around on the beach. Ordered my burger well-done and it came as medium rare at most.
