¡Tuve una gran lección con Allen! Fantástico profesor, yo era un principiante absoluto y me hizo sentir segura y confiada.

No puedo decir lo suficiente sobre todo el equipo aquí. May fue de gran ayuda para configurar todo, ¡y Ander y Pepe fueron excelentes maestros! Decidí probar el surf porque eso es lo que se hace en Nosara y no esperaba que me encantara. Sin embargo, planeo seguir así y darle crédito a mis grandes maestros por mucho de eso.

Maikol, Pepe y el resto del equipo son unos profesores fantásticos e increíbles. Llegué a Costa Rica hace unas semanas solo sabiendo body surf y boogie board y después de 1 lección de surf pude levantarme y montar un montón de olas. Su conocimiento y paciencia fueron la clave de mi éxito. ¡No puedo esperar a traer de vuelta a mi familia y a Pura Vida de por vida! ¡Gracias por todo!

¡La Escuela de Surf Nosara CR es fantástica! Lo recomiendo encarecidamente a cualquiera que busque mejorar sus habilidades de navegación en esta increíble comunidad de surf. Los entrenadores son increíblemente conocedores y amigables. Mi experiencia con Carlos como mi entrenador de surf durante la semana mejoró significativamente mi técnica.

Tried this school after a disappointing experience with another school (similar names!). I was SO right to change - all staff at this school are super friendly, chatty, happy to help.
I am an absolute beginner and after the very average first class with the other school, I came to this one and got Alex as my coach. He was amazing, super patient, supportive, and got me doing my pop-up right in first hour with him!
Highly recommend the school and Alex! Hope to be back!

I had two fantastic lessons and loved how much I progressed over the two classes. Everyone is super kind and supportive in this surf school. I would recommend it a lot!

If you’re looking to learn or improve surfing in Costa Rica, Playa Guiones is THE place and this is THE school! The crew creates such a friendly, fun and positive atmosphere while being super professional in the water. We took 4 classes with Josue who is a true inspiration, in the water and personally. Afterwards we would come by to rent boards every day and really enjoyed the familiar atmosphere. In the end, thanks to Nosara CR Surf School and this lovely place we extended our stay 5 times and improved our surf skills more than we were hoping for.

Highly recommendable and my wife and me were really happy we have picked this surfing school and took a number of lessons (including myself as intermediate, I have still learned a lot!). The coaches are very professional, patient, very kind and we had much joy, already miss this place!

Can’t recommend this place enough. My partner and I have taken lessons as well as my 11 year old son. The best place for renting surfboards and taking lessons. Carlos and crew will take care of you. Don’t go anywhere else! Pura vida!

We had a fantastic time. Four days of lessons. Not all great surfers are great surfing teachers (and we had both had bad previous experiences) and Carlos is an exceptional surfer AND teacher.

My partner Chris is more experienced than me (I’m a beginner), so we did a couple of joint (semi-private) whitewater lessons to teach me the basics and refresh Chris. Carlos gave us detailed and specific feedback on each of our stances, and after each time we got up etc. (no joke, at the end of four days we wrote up a note on my phone so we wouldn’t forget all he taught us).

Then he went out with each of us separately for additional lessons (private), according to our individual skill levels. For Chris, Carlos helped Chris “unlearn” bad habits taught by previous instructors and Chris’ technique improved. For me, Carlos taught me technique (he has a very good way of explaining things - it made sense to me) ; helped me get comfortable on the board (went from foam board, to thick hard board, to higher performance board over 4 lessons) ; he also helped me calm down, slow down, and get over my nervousness about surfing; And in the last lesson we went out to the “line up” and I caught my first legit green wave. It was amazing!

Carlos has some great surf technique sayings that will stick with me for a long time. Highly recommend Carlos and the whole crew at Nosara CR surfing! Very professional business they’re running. Felt safe the whole time.

Great surf school! I learned so much in those 6 days and had so much fun with my coaches Pepe and Marco!

My 52 year old and not in great shape husband was dead set on learning to surf. He scheduled lessons with Nosara Surf School for 5 consecutive days, 1 hour each. Chico, his instructor was absolutely amazing. So patient and such a great instructor. By day 4 my husband was riding waves at low tide with consistency and decent form. I was amazed. On day 5 Chico took him out at high tide to test him on the real waves. They were big. My husband will never stop telling the story of “dropping in” on a long right wave, catching it and riding it the whole way. I think they were both shocked. Later that night we ran into a neighbor at our rental who apparently saw him catch the wave too and went on and on about how awesome it was. I feel like what Chico did with him and taught him is miraculous. Some people are great at their jobs and Chico is a standout. If you are planning to learn to surf do yourself a big favor and ask for Chico at Nosara Surf School. Kudos to this operation. Very professional all around.

I did three private beginner surf lessons with Francisco and had a really great experience - I definitely recommend this surf school! I was starting from scratch and wasn’t super confident, but Francisco put me at ease and I was really pleased with my progress. It was super easy and quick to schedule lessons via WhatsApp, and I appreciated the school’s professionalism and focus on safety.

#1 rated surf school in nosara for a reason. The entire team at Nosara CR surf school are so kind and welcoming. If you ever you are new to surfing or looking to better your skill, don’t look any further. Carlos, owner and surf coach has made learning this extremely challenging sport super fun and comfortable. Accueil chaleureux et amical. Introduction au bord sur place. Puis théorie et pratique à la plage située à quelques pas. Pépé est un vrai professionnel. Avec beaucoup de patience et dévouement il communique très bien son savoir et savoir-faire. Bravo.

I took a lesson with carlos and he was incredible. I couldnt have asked for a better first lesson. Everyone at Nosara CR is friendly and helpful.

We had a great experience with the folks from Nosara CR Surf School! I highly recommend them for surf lessons! The instructors Josue and Jaylyn were great! We were a party of 4 beginners and we all got up on our first wave! The instructors were knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. Josue even took videos of us with our GoPro. We all had a great time!

We had a great experience this past week with Nosara CR Surf School. My kids (10 & 12) took lessons all week with Bryan and they were surfing so well by the end! Bryan was a fantastic instructor (patient, kind, fun, friendly, easy to talk to) and he made the lessons so much fun that the kids couldn't wait to do it again day after day. I even took a lesson from him one day and decided that I love surfing too! Hector in the office was great too! They are a warm and friendly group of guys who make you feel very comfortable and welcome. I highly recommend!

I would highly recommend these guys. They were very friendly and helpful with us when we arrived and as a complete beginner I found our instructor Bryan to be very kind and patient. I learned loads in just 2 lessons and had so much fun.
