We took surfing lessons yesterday from the amazing instructors at Kelly’s! I can’t rave enough about how awesome our experience was. They were professional, fun, and super knowledgeable. They made all 5 of us (including 3 kids) feel prepared, safe and capable. They had my 8yr old riding waves like a boss! We kicked off our Costa Rican adventure with this experience, and it couldn’t have been a better way to introduce the kids to this amazing country. Truly would recommend Kelly’s to anyone and everyone!

Rented a couple of bikes for a great price, Sebas was very friendly! We will definitely be back for surf/bike related needs and will recommend to friends.

Sebastian was the best instructor! He was professional, knowledgeable, fun, and most of all we felt safe and actually learned how to surf! Highly recommend paying extra for a photographer too! This was one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica!

Board rentals are for 9am-6pm since covid even though the website lets you make an appointment for earlier.

My friend Lauren and I had a semi private surf lesson yesterday and had the best time! Sebastian was an amazing instructor, Lauren has surfed in Hawaii before and said he was 10x better than her lessons there. We were able to get up multiple times and didn’t think we would. Jesslyn who helped organize was fantastic, very friendly and communicative - we highly recommend!

This place is amazing! I booked the day of on their website and they immediately contacted me to make a plan for the best experience for getting the best waves. Our instructor Sebastian is a great guy who is very knowledgeable and loves to teach. Neither of us had surfed before and he was determined to get us on waves by ourselves. We were both surfing on our own halfway through the lesson.

Rented a surf board from Kelly's in Feb of 2020. Great selection and the equipment is in excellent shape. Owners are friendly too. Can definitely recommend.

My family had a fantastic time last week! Jose gave a great lesson. You know it was good when not only did our 2 boys get up, but even my wife and I were able to get up and surf. We then rented boards for the week with great support from Gabby and re the team. The boys did great the entire week, having never surfed before this. Really fun!

We rented boards from Kelly’s all week. The staff was amazing to deal with, they were so knowledgeable and helpful. Cosi and Jeffrey were always so happy to see us every morning, greeting us with big smiles. Jeffrey even went out of his way to bring a GoPro mount from home that we were missing. I would highly recommend this spot. On a side note: always make sure you go over your board before you rent it out!

Some friends and I took a two hour surfing course through Kelly’s Surf Shop, and we learned so much. We had a great time and had an amazing workout. We really appreciated Sebastian and William and the amazing session they had with us.thanks guys!

This place is AWESOME! The staff here is very friendly and the business process was very simple. I had Mateo as my instructor and he was very energetic, patient and helpful. He went through everything step by step and then pointed out what I was doing wrong along the way. I was able to pick it up fairly quickly thanks to him!

If you're going to rent a surfboard, this is definitely the best place in town, wide selection of boards and super friendly staff. They also open at 7am, earlier than any other surf shops, which is super convenient if you're trying to rent a board and get in the water early. 5 stars all the way!

Me and my friends took some surf lessons at Kellys Surfshop. The staff was amazing. They really welcomed us and were helpful with everything. The lessons were great too.

I traveled a lot in Costa Rica, and this was my best experience. Jeff and Diego are friendly. If you see Mateo (surf instructor) in the ocean, he will give you some tips. Very nice guys. Don't forget you passport and bank card to rent! I also used one of the mountain bikes, they are good trails around Tamarindo. Pura Vida!
