Cala Luna Vacation Villas

Pasé cuatro noches aquí a principios de diciembre. Estaba a la distancia justa del centro de Tamarindo para salir de la congestión, pero aún se podía caminar hasta la ciudad. La habitación era muy bonita, el servicio excelente y la comida también. Me perdí el evento de la granja a la mesa que ofrecen debido a la baja asistencia, pero me dijeron que si tienes la oportunidad de hacerlo, es un gran evento. Definitivamente recomiendo Cala Luna si tus viajes te llevan a Tamarindo.

Nos encantó la comida. El paseo por la playa hasta Tamarindo fue hermoso. La habitación era genial. No podría haber pedido un lugar mejor para alojarse en Tamarindo.

¡Este hotel boutique es una joya! El spa es muy especial. Recibí un masaje con Andrea y fue el MEJOR masaje que he tenido. Vivo local y solo iré con ella. También imparte clases de yoga y curación con sonido increíble. ¡Vale la pena quedarse aquí solo por ella! ¡Resérvala, no te arrepentirás!

La villa super espaciosa, habitaciones cómodas y limpias con todas las amenidades. Piscina temperada en la villa y piscina principal, acceso directo a la playa.

¡¡Muy lindo! Todo el ambiente es moderno, saludable, local y simplemente increíble.

Estaba nervioso por algunas de las críticas negativas, ¡pero todo fue realmente genial! ¡Sin quejas!

Los cócteles y jugos son increíbles. Hacen todos sus ingredientes.

La comida allí es muy, muy buena.
Sin gluten está todo claramente marcado.
La piscina está abierta las 24 horas.
Hay una pequeña zona de playa privada.
Las habitaciones son geniales con todas las lociones botánicas crudas, jabones y champús, todos hechos localmente en Costa Rica.
Hay un spa en el lugar.
Carrito de golf eléctrico y bicicletas disponibles para alquiler.
Bebidas al atardecer todos los días en la playa.

Como novios, no podríamos haber pedido una boda más perfecta en Cala Luna. Nuestra celebración no fue solo una boda sino una aventura de una semana, y este resort en Costa Rica ocupó un lugar central. Literalmente nos hicimos cargo de todo el resort para nuestra fiesta de bodas con invitados de Atlanta, Los Ángeles, Las Vegas, Dallas, Nueva Orleans y la ciudad de Nueva York. Fue divertido para todos, impecablemente limpio e irradiaba una atmósfera alegre desde el momento en que llegamos. Aquí está nuestra sincera reseña de nuestra experiencia de boda en este extraordinario resort.

Personal servicial y excelente servicio () : Desde las etapas iniciales de planificación hasta el gran día, el personal de Cala Luna hizo todo lo posible para hacer realidad la boda de nuestros sueños. Su atención al detalle y compromiso para garantizar que cada aspecto de nuestra boda fuera impecable, ¡nos dejó asombrados! Silvia y Paola, nuestras organizadoras de bodas, fueron unas auténticas joyas. No solo fueron profesionales sino también cálidos y afectuosos, haciéndonos sentir como en familia.

Comida fresca y deliciosa () : La experiencia culinaria en el resort fue nada menos que excepcional. El desayuno de cortesía era delicioso, con fruta local fresca, pan y pasteles recién horneados, una variedad de productos estándar para el desayuno que incluían huevos y tortillas a pedido. Nuestra cena de bienvenida y recepción de boda fue una obra maestra, con una amplia variedad de platos frescos y deliciosos que satisfacían todos los gustos y preferencias (teníamos varios vegetarianos). La comida estaba muy bien presentada y nuestros invitados no podían dejar de hablar maravillas de ella. Los chefs del resort realmente se superaron a sí mismos y crearon una experiencia gastronómica memorable para nosotros.

Excelente comunicación () : planificar una boda puede ser estresante, pero la comunicación con el resort fue excelente. Fueron receptivos, pacientes y siempre dispuestos a responder nuestras preguntas y atender nuestras necesidades y solicitudes. Pudimos comunicarnos con Silvia y Paola en cualquier momento vía WhatsApp o teléfono. Esto hizo que todo el proceso fuera fluido y libre de estrés, permitiéndonos concentrarnos en la alegría de la celebración de nuestra boda.

Excelencia en transporte () : Los servicios de transporte brindados desde y hacia el aeropuerto fueron excelentes. Nuestros huéspedes llegaron sin problemas y el equipo de transporte del resort se aseguró de que todos se sintieran bienvenidos y cómodos desde el principio. Hay bicicletas y carritos de golf gratuitos disponibles para alquilar y llevarlos a Tamarindo para explorar las tiendas y restaurantes locales. Esta atención al detalle fue muy apreciada y marcó la pauta para el resto de la semana de celebración.

Servicios de spa inigualables () : Antes del gran día, nuestros huéspedes disfrutaron de muchos tratamientos de spa y fueron simplemente celestiales. El spa del resort ofreció una variedad de servicios que nos dejaron a todos sintiéndonos relajados y rejuvenecidos. Fue la manera perfecta de prepararnos para nuestra boda y agregó una capa extra de lujo a nuestra estadía.

Excursiones increíbles () : Para aquellos que buscan aventuras, el resort tenía una variedad de excursiones increíbles para elegir. Ya sea explorando la cultura local, practicando deportes acuáticos o disfrutando de caminatas por la naturaleza, había algo para todos. Además, Cala Luna ofrece villas con piscinas privadas, y la gran piscina del complejo está abierta las 24 horas, lo que la hace agradable para nadar hasta altas horas de la noche.
Nuestros invitados se divirtieron muchísimo y estas excursiones agregaron diversión adicional a nuestra semana de bodas.

En resumen, nuestra boda de destino en Cala Luna en Costa Rica fue un sueño hecho realidad. Proporcionó un escenario perfecto para nuestro día especial y ofreció una semana de diversión, relajación y recuerdos inolvidables para todos nuestros invitados. El dedicado personal del resort, el excelente servicio, la deliciosa comida y la atención al detalle realmente hicieron que nuestra experiencia de boda fuera mágica. No podríamos haber pedido un mejor lugar para comenzar nuestro viaje juntos.

Disfrutamos de una increíble e inolvidable estancia de 4 noches en Cala Luna. El entorno es extremadamente tranquilo y sereno. El servicio y la comida fueron de primera categoría. La ubicación es excelente ya que está a solo un corto paseo de Tamarindo. En general, volvería aquí sin dudarlo.

A beautiful hotel outside the main hustle and bustle of Tamarindo. Very tranquil. The staff is amazing and the food is great. Especially the included breakfast daily. My wife and I have stayed here twice and will certainly be back.

Best friend and I went to Costa Rica for a week and for the first few days stayed at Cala Luna. This boutique hotel is resort like amenities but within a quaint location and holistic like ambiance. Karol and her team are fantastic at accommodating needs and offering the highest level of service for their guests. We received communication weeks prior to our trip and Karol was able to help set up excursions, book travel needs etc. The hospitality and graciousness of the staff is unbeatable! We had the best time and can guarantee your Cala Luna experience will not disappoint. They offer complimentary breakfast, food is all healthy and delicious, pool is fantastic, rooms are AMAZING and they even have their own private beach. Place is phenomenal!

Nice boutique hotel but not worth the price in our opinion (european - swiss couple stayed 3 nights in April 2023).
Rooms are cozy and nice and the pool area is really beautiful. Beach is not suitable to go swimming and there are no chairs at all, you need to go out of the property and walk 2min to the beach. Nice for taking a walk and for the sundown cocktail though.
Food is okay we only had lunch two times there as we did not like the ambiente of the main restaurant. It is all organic and we both promote such food but it's a bit too expensive (but most restaurants in Tamarindo are.).
Breakfast is really NOT good at all for european standard as there isn't consumable bread, omlet is swimming in oil and food is drying out under those heaters. Also you pay 1400.00 dollars for 3 nights and need to pay for a bad cappuccino in the morning? Seriously? Also you need to serve yourself everything, staff (min. 5 people) is just hanging around the buffet and is not motivated at all. We really think the ambiente is disrupted by the unhappy employees. Maybe because it was a bit too hot for them?
Also the situation outside of Tamarindo is a bit of a downgrade. The bikes are in a very bad shape but at least those are included. You have to be lucky to get one if the hotel is busy. By foot it takes you almost 20minutes to go out. Really go out - restaurant and bar selection is amazing (all pricey but nice).
Massages are amazing we made a couple massage for 60 minutes, also expensive but very professional and relaxing!
Yoga and activities offered are promoted everywhere also with popups on the Website etc but there is no big offer and yoga lessons at 4pm in the afternoon (34 degrees Celsius) woth a crowded yoga pavilion? - no thanks. Else the offer is very limited. We just liked the sunset cocktail at the beach!
We left our experience with the guy at the checkout, hope they will improve, it was really a pity as the resort would be our taste. I guess next time we would go to Tamarindo Center.

Experiencia brutal. El lloc i entorn. Pero la meva fill va perdre el seu peluix a l’habitació i ningu ens a trucat. La neteja ho van trobar segur. Una pena…demà ja agafem el vol i ella sense el peluix. Saps qui hi ha en aquella habitació i saps el numero de telefon. Si amb un peluix passa aixo…

I really wanted to like my experience at Cala Luna more, and overall, we had a good stay. The resort is very pleasant and so was the service. Unfortunately, our honeymoon trip was derailed from a Valentine's Day dinner that I ended up getting food poisoning from, which is extremely difficult to ignore in our experience. I hope it's just a one-off thing, but something to be aware of.

Lovely hotel, great staff, great pool, great breakfast & a very cool hidden private beach.

The staff is friendly and pool bar is great but the bookings and reservations are atrocious. Save yourself the time and find a ride at the airport, our ride never showed when booking through Cala Luna. Also got double booked for a massage the next day and just got a “sorry, our booking system is acting up”…disappointing. Definitely not what you would expect from a luxury stay. Surprised we had a room in our name when we arrived.

Absolutely amazing highly recommend staying here! The cocktails are bomb! We did a tour with Jose and it was incredible, he’s the best!

Wow, what can I say! My boyfriend and I had an exceptional experience at Cala Luna. The getaway suite was secluded, clean and loved the huge double shower! The food was heathy, fresh and we experienced several different herbs, fruits and foods we hadn't had in the states. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Eddie who is wonderful, had our beach chairs set up at the beach every morning and served us cocktails to enjoy while basking in the sun! Can't say enough about all the staff there and at the restaurant. They made are stay phenomenal! We will definitely go back! Check it out you won't be disappointed!

The mini mushroom vegan burger was just sautéed mushrooms no patty, nice brioche bun, guacamole. Not my favorite.

Detox green juice is good, nothing special.

Wow… that was awful. My family and I were supposed to stay there for 4 days.we reserved for two rooms close to each other.our rooms were all the way accros the resort from each other.the smell.it was awful.a rancid lemon perfume smell.i immediately got a headache and my brother had an asma attack. PLEASE FIND A BETTER HOTEL I PROMISE YOU CAN FIND ONE.

The rooms were a great size and always clean. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times, especially when we had questions about the town or activities. There is a taxi service, so if you’re worried about getting around there is a low cost service. The location is very close to the beach (~10 minute walk to a less rocky area) and the beach amenities like fishing and diving were great. We also brought the fish back to the hotel and the chefs made us great meals that were out of this world!
